Working with a Professional Organiser Life Coach is a collaborative partnership that turns ideas into action to achieve freedom from STUFF. It feels totally strange to boast about accomplishments so this list is all in the name of assisting you to make a choice of Organiser Coach or Professional Organiser. So, here goes.

Professional Organiser Life Coach

Accredited Expert member of the Institute of Professional Organisers (IOPO)- An Expert Accreditation means I’ve served 2000hrs with clients and attended over 170hrs of Professional Development.

I love being a PO, so I contribute to the organising industry as an Advisory Board member of the IOPO. Here I provide our members with a career pathway to become a Professional Organiser. If you’re interested in being mentored to become a PO, I’d love to chat.

COC – Certified Organizer Coach specialising in ADD/ADHD, Time Management and Productivity. I use a variety of coaching techniques to suit your individual strengths such as Body-Based Coaching.

Accredited Mental Health First Aider. My focus is support, information, listening and communication with positive encouragement. Because one in two Australians will suffer from a diagnosed mental health condition in their lifetime, this training is essential.

Institute for Challenging Disorganization leaders in Chronic Disorganization, have awarded me a Level 1 certificate in both Chronic Disorganisation and ADD/ADHD.

Providing service excellence, personal security and peace of mind to all clients.

Full police clearance certificate and Working with Children Check to give you peace of mind. We are fully insured and abide by the code of practice and ethics set out by the IOPO and the International Coaching Federation, which states our commitment and integrity in serving you.

From Chef to Organiser How Did That Happen?

My best skills for organising spaces and time have oddly enough come from my time as a Chef.

Organising a busy restaurant kitchen taught me valuable skills for being a Professional Organiser. After working as a Chef for several years I took on restaurant management. This meant leading teams of staff and was wonderful groundwork for working as an Organiser Coach. All of these experiences increased my skills for efficiency and managing time under extreme pressure, while keeping a smile on my face.

Coaching and leadership came naturally in my later roles as retail manager. It also gave me the skills for visual merchandising and creating inviting beautiful spaces.

What You Can Expect as a Client

This is a partnership where you receive the value of my organising expertise while getting an insight into the long-term challenges you’ve experienced. This is key for clients who identify with being neuro-diverse so you can gain new perspectives and make the changes you want.

At the start of your program you’ll fill out a Coaching Intake Form where we will find your innate strengths, yes, you have these and they are so powerful. Then we’ll set out practical, but tailored solutions to meet your goals. Then the time between our sessions is where you start to see new awareness that leads us to the best actions for your goals. 

My goal as your Professional Organiser Life Coach is to guide you to your desired outcome. This allows you to achieve a sense of well-being and control of your home and life. It’s definitely not about being perfect or reaching someone else’s standards or expectations. It’s about YOU!

Carolyn is very skilled and an amazing coach. She looks at the status of things, takes time to find out how and why you work a certain way, and comes up with strategies and solutions that are a fit with YOUR personality type…. If you’re a hard copy person (like me), Carolyn embraces that and works with it – and as a consequence, everything she helps you put in place is embraced and used versus resisted.

There is no judgement just a commitment to helping you realise results.  Carolyn helped me work though clean up (when I called her in I could hardly walk into the room, which had to quickly become a functioning office and stock room), and from the early stage we set up systems and a layout to support each aspect of work to be performed in the office. She did such a good job of this I next got her to advise me on my teaching venue layout and setup (being able to teach hands on classes to 12 people in a 4m x 4m space takes organisation!).

Regular sessions helped change my habits over time and I can say she has completely transformed the way I work and my work space is now reliably workable and clear.  Favorite tip – posting things only on Tuesdays…and having structures that stop my desk becoming covered in paper!
